Keppel Fall by Canon 50mm f1.2 L

At the lady talbot drive, the clearing of the bush by bush fire revealed this view of the waterfall. Very nice and crisp image.
A beautiful lens to use even in foggy condition

Graffiti by Canon 50mm f1.2 L

Located at Healesville. After a long day of drive and hiking, this image is so enriched of colours.
Given the lighting being overcast, the colour does pop a bit. :)

Josh by Canon EF 50mm f1.2 L

This is a weekend that I spent at Joel's place. He cooked some nice soup dinner. I tested out my Canon 7D autofocus in the dim lighting.
Guess what, no focus shift from this canon 50mm f1.2 and the foreground bokeh was suprisingly smooth and creamy.

Snooker balls by Canon EF 50mm f1.2 L

This is a follow up photograph from last post. The bokeh from 50mm f1.2 is always quoted being at best neutral. However, this shot did not even take me more than 5 seconds to compose. How good is to have a reliable autofocus control!!

Joel by Canon EF 50mm f1.2 L

This was an intense shot. We used the member's area to play snooker. Instead, it turned into a 50mm photography session lol.
Still a nice lens to use with ISO 1600
Good colour in deed.

Wall mural by Leica 50mm f2 R Summicron

This mural is done by a true artist. I like to stare into this piece of art work hidden in an alley so narrow that only allows a person to walk through.

Motor Bike by Leica 50mm f2 R summicron CAM1

It has been a long time since I used this lens. The pre ASPH era of leica lenses seem to render that wonderful bokeh and "leica" look. The background bokeh are swirly yet managing highlights very well. Especially, aperture wide open with this lens produces that popping look.
This is one out of 20 shots that happened to be in focus on the bike. Sigh...
I am going to add a few 50mm for play very soon

Williamstown dockland by Canon EF 50mm f1.2 L

Sunset in Melbourne has been quite beautiful lately given the unexpected build up of cloud and rain. Weather really creates beautiful imagery.
f1.2 is handy to use without tripid and I have reasonable sharpness from the shooting on the day.

In the sun by Leica 50mm Summicron f2 CAM1

No make up artist. Directly being shun by the sinking sun. The colour is pro warm colour code and the wet look makes it look quite strange.

Leica 50mm f2 summicron has that ability to reduce the highlight to the minimum that I do not have much luck with Canon 50mm f1.2L

Somehow the colour and texture are best preserved with this lens

Paella by Olympus ZD 50mm f2 macro

A beautiful meal pre christmas. The dish cost me 38 AU Dollars! Quite dear for scanty food.

However, it was a pleasant day spending my cash.

The bokeh from olympu 50mm f2 macro is a little harsh and this is the first time I spotted purple fringeing that I had to desaturate the image quite a bit.
